Mykonos Island

Set in the center of the shimmering blue Aegean Sea, Mykonos island is a perfect example of timeless Cycladic beauty. The majestic line of windmills that overlook the town´s gleaming whitewashed buildings offer an unforgettable picturesque view. While wondering through the village´s maze of narrow alleyways the visitor will find an incredible range of exclusive boutiques, restaurants, and bars with all passages leading to the romantic café-lined waterfront. Beyond the town, the island of Mykonos is easily accessible through a well developed system of highways and country roads that lead through the rolling landscape. Interspersed with country homes, villas and hundreds of tiny red-roofer family churches, the clean white cycladic architecture is maintained throughout adding a photographic charm to the landscape.

Apart from the main sea-side town, in the center of Mykonos island one can explore the tiny village of Ano Mera. Once the meeting center for the surrounding villagers and farmers, this peaceful settlement contains the island´s main monastery with a welcoming collection of taverns that circle the main square.

Attracting sun-lovers, Mykonos, inspite of its relatively small size has an abundance of white sandy beaches that surround the island forming a kind of necklace of individually unique jewels. Providing everything from quiet seclusion to fun-seeking crowds, the beach´s taverns, restaurants, party oriented music bars and water sport facilities enable the visitor to enjoy the holiday they desire.
